Prayer

Welcome to Our Ministry

Prayer was constant in the real New Testament Church. The scriptures say on one occasion that Prayer went on without ceasing when Peter was in prison, ( “…prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him”. Ac 12:5)

It was also the custom of the Apostles to pray without ceasing. (“For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;” Ro 1:9 )

They also constantly gave God thanks. (“ For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because,.......…..” 1Th 2:13 )

The Apostle instructed the church to, (“ Pray without ceasing.”1Th 5:17)

This type of prayer from the Apostle's went on night and day.(” I thank God, whom I serve from [my] forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of youin my prayers night and day “ 2Ti 1:3)

Samuel even thought that not praying is sin. ( “ Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:”1Sa 12:23)

the widows prayed night and day (“Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day” 1 Ti 5:5

Even our Lord prayed all night before ministering to the multitudes ( “And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.“ Luke 6:12)

As you can see the real Church actually attempted to be like Christ. You cannot be like Christ or a  Christian which means Christ like if you don't have a prayer life like our Messiah.
